We are looking for a very well rounded customer facing Cognos Developer/Architect for our client.
Our client is seeking a true Cognos professional who can take the ball and run with it. You will be developing and deploying Cognos solutions in an enterprise environment.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Experience using the full Cognos toolset to develop solutions
- 7 years experience architecting, managing, administering, developing and supporting Cognos
- Hands-on experience with the Cognos toolset version 8 (Report Studio, Query Studio, Analysis Studio, Framework Manager, PPES, Powerplay, Data Manager, Macros, and Transformer as an Architect, developer, and administrator
- 7 years experience designing and developing data warehouses using Cognos ETL tools
- Ability to translate user requirements into Cognos models, cubes, reports, dashboards, and portals
- Experience in setting up Cognos Security
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills, couples with exceptional oral and written communication skills
- Ability to train staff in the development and support of Cognos solutions
- Proficiency with data modeling
This person must be able to go from Architecture to report development dependent on customer requirements.
